11.13.11 The Gospel of the Vessel |
This message shares scriptural revelation of how our salvation is not a "one time" happening but a progressive journey.
We learn that religious acts will not save us but only a heart response to God's ever present sanctification. This heart response positions us to be recipients of the change required to separate us from our fallen nature.
God's transformation take place in us as we present ourselves, on an on going basis, to God's truth and love. When we take a Spirit led look at who we are in our depravity and sin, our eyes are opened to our desperate need for the changes experienced by transformation. This transformation transforms us from being ruled and led by our sin nature to being increasingly one with our Lord Jesus. This then results in our being able to walk in the Spirit.
Oh how foolish we would be if keeping rules and leaning on our self-righteous ways we were to miss our on God's glorious and free gift of eternal life. Christ like life formed within is found in our joyful and obedient response to God's love and His ways. |
